Video and social let people see you, trust you and try your ideas before they ever visit your site. You don’t need to become an influencer. You need a repeatable way to show up where your audience is โ and a workflow that turns one idea into many pieces of content.
YouTube: the search engine with a play button
YouTube works a lot like search: people type questions and look for answers. That makes it a natural fit for niche builders.
Tutorials
“How to” videos in your niche. Evergreen, searchable and great for building trust.
Reviews and comparisons
Show the product in use. Honest pros and cons. Link to your full review and disclose affiliate links.
Demos and builds
Perfect for micro-SaaS and no-code tools โ show the problem, then show your tool solving it.
- Research video topics with YouTube search autocomplete and competitor channels
- Write titles that match the search and promise a clear outcome
- Design simple, readable thumbnails (Canva works well)
- Deliver the payoff fast โ cut long intros
- Add chapters, a helpful description and a link to your site or opt-in
Short video: Shorts, TikTok and Reels
Short-form video is built for discovery. A single clip can reach people who’ve never heard of you. It rewards speed, hooks and consistency.
- Hook in the first seconds. Open with the problem, the surprising result or the bold claim you can back up.
- One idea per video. One tip, one mistake, one before/after, one product in use.
- Add captions. Many people watch without sound.
- End with a next step. “Full guide on my site” or “comment for the checklist” โ where the platform allows it.
- Post consistently. Pick a cadence you can keep. Batch-film to make it easier.
Reddit and forums: value first, always
Reddit, niche forums, Discord servers and Facebook groups are where people ask honest questions. They’re gold for research and trust โ and they punish spam quickly.
- Read the rules and the top posts before you contribute
- Answer questions thoroughly, right in the thread
- Share your experience and your mistakes, not just your wins
- Only link to your content when it’s genuinely the best answer and the rules allow it
- Be transparent that you run the site or product
- Use communities for research: note the recurring questions and turn them into content
X, LinkedIn and Facebook groups
| Platform | Best for | What works |
|---|---|---|
| X | Tech, AI, crypto, indie builders, domain investing | Building in public, threads, quick takes, replies to bigger accounts |
| B2B niches, SaaS, careers, professional services | Personal stories, lessons learned, practical carousels | |
| Facebook groups | Hobbies, local niches, parenting, crafts, older audiences | Helpful answers, starting your own group around the niche |
| Instagram / Threads | Lifestyle, food, fashion, fitness, design | Reels, carousels, behind-the-scenes |
The repurposing workflow
Here’s how one idea becomes a week of content across channels.
- Start with a pillar. A long YouTube video or an in-depth article on your site.
- Clip it. Pull 3โ6 short clips for Shorts, TikTok and Reels.
- Write it. Turn the transcript into a blog post, a newsletter issue and a social thread.
- Design it. Make Pinterest pins and a carousel from the key points. See the Pinterest playbook.
- Share it where it helps. Answer related community questions with the core insight.
- Route it home. Every piece points back to your site or email list.
Here is the transcript of my video about [topic] for [audience]: [paste transcript]. Repurpose it into: 1. 5 short video scripts (under 45 seconds each) with a strong hook in the first line 2. A blog post outline with H2s and H3s 3. A newsletter issue (subject line + 300-word body) 4. An X or LinkedIn thread (6โ8 posts) 5. 5 Pinterest pin headlines Keep my voice, keep claims accurate, and don't add facts that aren't in the transcript.

A realistic weekly rhythm
You don’t need to be everywhere. Here’s a sample week for one person running a niche asset with a primary video channel and one social platform.
| Day | Task | Time guide |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | Research: collect 5 audience questions from Reddit, comments and search | Short session |
| Tuesday | Script and film one pillar video or write one pillar article | Longest session |
| Wednesday | Edit and publish; cut short clips with CapCut or Descript | Medium session |
| Thursday | Schedule clips, pins and a social thread | Short session |
| Friday | Engage: reply to comments, help in 2โ3 community threads | Short session |
| Weekend | Review metrics and pick next week’s topic | Quick check |
I've collected these questions from Reddit threads, YouTube comments and forums in the [niche] niche: [paste questions]. 1. Group them into themes. 2. For each theme, suggest one long-form video or article idea and three short-video hooks. 3. Flag which questions suggest a product, tool or lead magnet opportunity. Only use the questions I've given you โ don't invent audience data.
